Charter Members of the Chat N Chew Choo Modular Railroad Club.
On the far left is Rick. Rick is the instigator of this group, (Founding member) probably not the correct word, but then again...... He's a machinist by trade who one day figured he would like to start a modular railroad club and here we are. Rick's main interest in railroading is in the Lackawanna Railroad. The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company (DL&W or Lackawanna) (AAR reporting marks DLW) was a railroad connecting Pennsylvania's Lackawanna Valley, rich in anthratice coal, to New York City, Buffalo and Oswego, New York. It merged with the Erie Railroad in 1960, forming the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, and was absorbed into Conrail in 1976.

Standing next to Rick is Craig, that's me. I am retired from General Motors and have always wanted a model railroad, but haven't had one since I was knee high to a short guy. I am concentrating on the Lackawanna Railroad, PRR and B&O. I like to collect Phoebe Snow cars. Below is a one of a kind PRR steam turbine #6200.

Standing third from the left is Larry. Larry is also retired from General Motors and can figure more math in his head than I can figure on three sheets of paper. Larry's railroad interest lies mostly in the Union Railroad that ran out of Pittsburgh, PA, and has plans for a large steel mill on his modules. In reality across the Mon River from Duquesne, at Port Perry there is US Steel's Edgar Thomson Works. Here, in the back yard of US Steel's Edgar Thomson Works, the URR has several junctions and yards. The train pulls up from the Dexter (CSX interchange) Yard with mostly empty coil cars for Irvin Works. The train then backs all the way to Irvin Works. Furthest to the right is Jerry. Jerry is a retired minister and probably the most knowledgeable railroader in our group, depending on how you're using the term. Jerry likes the PRR Railroad and is currently modeling his modules into a yard with a Turntable and Engine House.

We are currently looking for some new members. You don't have to have an extensive knowledge of railroading, just the desire to build a module or two and talk railroad talk with the fellas, in addition to cultivating a taste for donuts.
